YoCo will be out there meeting people over the weekend of 5th/6th July – we’re part of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s “Here is Hope” Festival in Homestead Park. We’re sharing the Solstice Pavilion with three other groups of changemakers (including local pals Yorspace). We’ll be talking with visitors to find out what they think makes a good neighbourhood, and then turning those conversations into words, poetry, pictures, models to create a space which over the weekend increasingly prompts creativity and thinking.
There will be a core team – resident ceramicist and poet Julia on the Saturday, and Heidi and I will be there both days. We’d really love you to join us though – whether for half an hour or half a day – to contribute your own ideas and to prompt others to shape and communicate theirs. We’ll be there from 10am to 6pm both days and there will be lots more going on for you (and kids! Bring kids!) to join in with music and theatre and all sorts of participative stuff. If you can just call in and have a chat – that’s great! If you’re able to spend a little more time and help welcome and talk with visitors, then that’s even better and please let Phil know by popping him a quick email at phil@constructiveindividuals.co.uk.
